HISTORY OF MINISTRY IN PEMBROKE
Evangelist Regina Evans was sent by God to Pembroke, Georgia in February 2000 (Evangelist Ethel Fripp worked faithfully with Evangelist Evans for almost five years).
This ministry began with Bible Study at the American Legion Building. From there we took the Bible Study to another building owned by Missionary Charity Edenfield. After about three (3) months we relocated the Bible Study in Willie Mae Porter's home until the Lord blessed us with a building at 7 Foxworth Road.
The first service was held in the new building (House of Deliverance Evangelistic Center) on Wednesday night at 7:00 P.M., September 13, 2000. The first Sunday service was held on the 3rd Sunday, September 17, 2000 at 12:00 noon. Those in attendance were: Evangelist Ethel Fripp, Vickie Byrd, Willie Mae Porter, William Lipsey, Shea Lipsey, Ericka Curry, Ketorah Youmans, Stephanie Brown, Judy Hagin, Samona Moultre, Iman Brice, Marchal Carter, Tomisha Powell, Norda Evans, JaQuan Evans, Tammie Moultrie, Ivan Brown, Lauren Brown, Mother Liza Hagin, and Julian Lewis.
Our First revival was held October 2-11, Evang. Regina Evans and Evang. Ethel Fripp were in charge.
Our first Fellowship/Communion service was held on the 3rd Sunday, October 15, 2000 at 12:00 noon, Elder Errol Roach presiding. There were twenty-two (22) in attendance, and we were graced with the presence of Evangelist Frances Thomas and our State Missionary Evangelist Valrie Lewis.
We started singing the song, "I'm Free! Praise the Lord, I'm Free", everytime we would sing this song, the present of the Lord would flow greatly among us. So, on April 26, 2001 we declared this song as our theme song at the House of Deliverance Evangelistic Center.
In almost every Sunday service we would have a full house, so we knew it was time to search for a larger building in order for God to continue to bless. We spoke with our Pastor, Bishop Moses Lewis and we began with the search. Since the Lord was blessing in the area we were in, we asked the Lord for a building in the same area. Our prayers were answered and today we are blessed with a larger building, along with the adjacent property. We anticipate great things happening in Pembroke as we continue to do the will of our Lord and Savior! It has been eight years in ministry here, and we give God all the glory for everything He has done for us, and the things He's going to do.
LOOKING TO SEE YOU VERY SOON!
